Art Yarn (Coiled)

This listing is for Handspun Coiled Art yarn. (Spun as a single and then coiled onto embroidery thread). 100g. Weight ranges from chunky to dk.
Although this yarn is set, it may unravel if cut. The best way to avoid this is to tie a knot in the cut ends.
 
Sharon sources wool fibre from Sheep farms all over Ireland which she washes and dyes.  The Irish wool is chosen for its texture and appearance and dyed to be used as grasses or waves etc for felting and also for this beautiful art yarn.  Also included in this yarn is silk fibre and threads from India, Alpaca, Jacobs wool and Cheviot wool from Co. Wicklow, soya, rose, nettle and bamboo fibres. Some commercial wool may be included leftover from felting classes. 
 
The yarn is produced in small amounts and works well as an accent in knitting, crochet, weaving and felting.
