Yanny has produced calendars of her work for over fifteen years now and they have proven to be very popular. The images in the 2026 calendar are selected on a theme of native Irish trees, featuring seasonal drawings and paintings from the last twenty years. At the bottom of each date page are sections from artworks associated with the main image and the time of year. Yanny continues to draw attention to the preciousness of wild plants and habitats which we all too easily take for granted. The purpose of her work is to raise awareness of the wonders of nature and especially the wild plants of Ireland. Not only are our native trees very beautiful and they support lots of wildlife, we are planting more these days because trees are known to help mitigate the effects of climate change.
This year Yanny has added a special page for your nature notes since she enjoys looking back over the year at observations she has made during the months gone by. Begin a new habit and jot down things that happen in your garden or that you see while out for a walk. It’s very rewarding.
The calendar is in a double page A4 format with one page devoted to the image and the other to the relevant month with a box format to fill in birthdays, anniversaries, reminders etc.
